I think the "f the patriarchy" keychain line is meant to highlight how he was very performative in his "beliefs" and acting like he hated things like the patriarchy, but then he treated the women we supposedly cared about like they were less-than (which is pretty misogynistic and patriarchal in itself). The short film helped me to understand this better with visuals.

So it's sort of a double meaning. Like his brooklyn/harsh attitude broke her but also it is a clue to who she's talking to because Jake is 100% 'brooklyn broke' looking.
